Dr. Ganmaa is an Assistant Professor at Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health and Associate Epidemiologist at Channing Division of Network Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Ganmaa started her public health and nutrition research projects for Mongolia since 2005 which led her to establish non-profit organization, Mongolian Health Initiative (MHI), first sub-contractor for Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She obtained her MD in National University of Medicine in Mongolia and her PhD from Yamanashi Medical University in Environmental Health in Japan and was selected as a Radcliffe fellow in 2006-2007. Dr. Ganmaa’s chief interest is to develop new, useful knowledge concerning relationships between nutrition and health, to build mutually beneficial relationships between Harvard University and Mongolia to conduct and publish research that will improve the health of people worldwide and to contribute to the development of younger researchers through teaching and mentorship.
